After far too long, I finally returned to the Hoot of a Commute last night and enjoyed every second of it.  2.5hrs on the single-speed hard-tail had my muddy face grinning on my arrival home.  Always a good end to a hard day.

And joining the 6am-ers for the Hurt Box this morning – rather than grinning – had me grimacing as I attempted to hold a cadence of 130 as we headed down Nepean Highway at 60kph with a screaming tail wind.  In my current condition, I couldn’t do it so for the first time I turned off and cut through to meet the boys coming back up Beach Road into a block head-wind.  Much more suitable for a 53/16 ridden by a sick and unfit individual.
